Art helps to gain a deeper understanding of learning content

I remember giving a talk about how art can be used to teach about environmental issues and asking the audience at the end to draw their most important take-away.

One of the artists in the audience shared how excited he was to use this method to express himself and was sure he would apply this more often.

I wasn't surprised, as creating art allows us to not only listen but also interact with the learning content. This helps to get a deeper understanding, so that we can develop solutions and take action beyond the presentation.
