Light pollution affects animals
Light pollution can negatively impact ecosystems around urban areas in many ways. For example by affecting animals.
Animals are affected because natural biological activities and behaviors are disturbed.
For example, fireflies emit flashes of light in their abdomen at night to attract mating partners. With light pollution, their lights are less well visible and their communication gets disturbed.
