Cold plasma to boost plant growth as environmentally friendly alternative to fertilizers and pesticides
Cold plasma treatment can make seeds more resistant to diseases and pests. One reason for this increased resistance is that disease-causing microorganisms are killed.
Microorganisms are killed by destroying proteins in the membrane of their cells, so the membrane doesn't work properly anymore, their cells get damaged, and cell contents can leak.
The advantage is that this is non-toxic and nevertheless effective to promote germination and plant growth for higher yields.
