CO2 tax

Germany has since January 2021 a new type of tax:

CO₂ tax

with €25 per ton of CO₂. 

So those who live more environmentally friendly pay less.

And I like that it's a direct tax: 

existing environmental taxes are combined with other taxes, so even I didn't know I pay them.
