Helping forest communities who are tempted to sell their forests

Today, I learnt about the important work of the GREENWOODD+ Social Forestry Program, which focuses on helping forest communities who are tempted to sell their forests to large private companies: selling their forests has short-term financial benefits, but long-term it is disastrous, as they are their ongoing source of income. And the forests become grassland, which means the biodiversity is strongly reduced as well. I love it that by supporting these owners, they support both on a social and ecological level.
