#21 - Buying tea bags without extra wrapping
As I drink quite
some tea, I buy boxes that merely contain tea bags: I find it
unnecessary to put an extra wrapping around it. I guess that this bag
is important for hygienic reasons in a public place for example at
work, but not at home. And while writing this, I realize that it of
course would be even better to buy tea without any bags. I’ll give
that a try later.
I enjoy the convenience of tea bags like most of us, especially when traveling. And as a next step to reduce waste even more at home, I use muslin tea bags and stainless steel tea balls with loose tea purchased in bulk and stored in reusable containers. We also use the tea leaves in our garden compost. Each small sustainable step makes a difference.
