Ocean waves as renewable energy source

Solar and wind energy are the most commonly used renewable energy sources today, but generating electricity from ocean waves also has significant advantages. 

Many different technologies have been developed already, but because many systems are not commercially viable, meaning that it costs more to install and maintain them than can be earned, further technologies are being developed.
