Fossil fuels need replacement

Look at my worn-off brakes!

I've been cycling assuming that when my brakes work today,

they will also work tomorrow.

But of course they won't work forever,

so there is no guarantee.

Similarly, fossil fuels seemed to work for a while, but urgently need replacement.
