Long-lasting slippers

I used to buy what I called "animal slippers" (the slipper on the left). They usually lasted one season plus a bonus season when I repaired to sole with strong tape. As this is not very environmentally friendly, I bought the ones you see on the right a few years ago. They still look almost brand new!
